The September 23, 2009 Annual Meeting of Volunteers Assisting the Disabled was called to order @ 7:40 pm by Shawn Hass, President

1. Minutes from 2008 Annual Meeting.

Discussion: Minutes from the September 24, 2008 Annual meeting were reviewed.

Corrections: None. Keith made the motion to approve the minutes as written, Kathy seconded the motion.

Decision: Motion carried and the minutes approved and will be placed on file.

2. Topic: Financial Reports

Discussion: Financial reports: Deferred until January 2010 meeting.

3. Topic: Confirmation of Existing Members

Discussion: List reviewed. Editing of deceased members.

Decision: List confirmed.

4. Topic: Election of 2009-2010 Board of Directors

Discussion: Review of the by-laws regarding the election process. Questions were answered and election process completed.

Action: Members elected: Mary Barry-Bodine, Kathy D’Angelo, Kurt Hahn, Roger Hella, Shawn Hass, Linda Johnson, Keith Moss, Lynn Navarro, Brad Ross, and Barb Stein

5. Topic: Election of Officers for 2009-2010

Discussion: The 2009-2010 members adjourned to a separate room to elect the Officers of the Board of Directors

Action: Shawn Hass: President.

Brad Ross: Vice President

Keith Moss: Treasurer

Kathy D'Angelo: Corresponding Secretary

Mary Barry-Bodine: Recording Secretary.

6. Topic: New members of VAD

Discussion: Individuals wishing to be New members of VAD: Corrina Grennan, David A. Bodine, LeAnn Wartella.

Action: Kathy made a motion and brad seconded to approve the above people to be members of V.A.D.

7. Topic: Old Business

Discussion:

-Thanksgiving dinner: Kathy D’Angelo made a motion and Kurt seconded that $200 be approved to support the Thanksgiving Dinner in November.

- November Dinner Dance. There are still tickets available. Please contact Keith for tickets

-Poker for a fundraiser was discussed: They have raised the fees and it is now longer to get approved. The process is continuing but may take longer than expected.

8. Topic: New Business

Discussion:

-New ideas are needed for fundraising and Recruitment please investigate any opportunities. VAD is still looking for a fundraising chairman and committee. Please contact any member of the Board for more information.

Motion was made at 8:34 pm to close the 2009 Annual Meeting by Mary and seconded by seconded by Kurt. Motion carried.
